IPCC: ANY change in climate over time due to natural variability OR human activity (the broader scientific definition Hussen uses, p. 206). UNFCCC: climate change attributed SPECIFICALLY to human activity (the narrower policy definition used in international treaties). The professor uses the contrast as an exam-relevant conceptual point.
